City, NY
Erik, an energetic
"Nuyorican" with a baby face, was born and raised in
New York City.
He loves to write songs, has studied voice for four years, and has
been performing
with choral groups since the beginning of high school. Erik has
studied many
types of music, ranging from classical and rock, straight to
hip-hop, and
even a little bit of celtic.
Erik believes
that his strong belief in God is what has gotten him to where he
is now. He
was raised by his Italian/Puerto Rican mother and his stepfather,
and he proudly
declares that Puerto Rican culture runs through his soul. Erik is
very close
to his mother and says that his stepfather has been a great dad to
him. Hard-working,
artistic, and a great role model, he has helped Erik harness his
creative drive.
Erik stresses, "I'm my own worst critic. I'm an only child. No one
else puts pressure
on me." He emphasizes that he loves singing and performing
because he
enjoys making people happy. Erik looks forward to meeting a girl who
loves music
as much as he does.
